This article describes the procedures and requirements of .am domain names.

The registration of a .am domainname can be done via the control panel and is realtime.
The name of the owner has to be written in full. Initials will cause the registration to be declined.
To transfer a .am domainname a letter of authority is required. This means written and signed proof of the domainname owner that the request can be placed. Please, fill in this form https://dot.am/transfertrade.pdf and send it to our support department who will proceed with the transfer.

The registrar ID to choose Key-Systems GmbH.


Please note that due to the manual processing of this transfer it can take a few days for the transfer to be processed.

We will forward the transfer announcement to the AM registry in order to remove the lock.

Owner change (trade)

To change the owner of a .am domainname a letter of authority is required. This means that a signed letter from the current owner is needed which explains that the domain is to be traded to a new owner.
This letter has to be sent to our support department along with a copy of the ID of the current owner.
Due to the manual processing of an ownerchange it can take a few days for this process to be complete.

Other update

A change in the domainname is processed real-time, but it can take up to 24 hours for the whois to be updated.

Delete

A deletion of a domain is realtime. After deletion the domainname will remain in quarantine for 14 days.

Restore / reactivate

A domainame can be reactivated for 14 days after it has expired or was deleted. Please note that the restoration is a manual process and can take a few days to complete.
