Registration can be started from the control panel, only ID Number is required.

If the registrant lists a Swedish address, but wishes to use an ID Number issued by a different county, then the ID number must include the two-letter country code of the issuing country in square brackets. For example, a passport from the Netherlands with number 12345678 would be written as [NL]12345678.

Please note to verify the company registration number on this website.

A transfer can be started using the transfercode. When started and the code is correct, it will complete instantly.

The registry will not send an e-mail to the domain contacts after the transfer finishes.

After expiration or deletion of a domain name, it will enter into a 60-day "Deactivation period". During this period, the domain name does not resolve anymore but can still be reactivated.

The "renewal date offset" for .se domains is -9 days. That means that auto-renewal or auto-expiration is processed 9 days after the registry's expiration date. A domain registered on the 1st of January, will be removed from the zone only on the 10th of January. This means that you have until 9 days after the registry's expiration date to renew the domain in Openprovider.

After this 60-day period, the domain enters a 7-day "Quarantine period" during which the domain can not be reactivated anymore.

After those 7 days, the domain is released again by the registry and is available for new registration.

The registry's whois information shows the exact deactivation, deletion and release dates. The transition between those states are at a random time during the day, though always after 04:00 AM UTC.

Restore (reactivation)

A domainname can be restored in the control panel for 59 days after deletion.
