This article describes the procedures and requirements of .org.mx domain names.

Successful domain registration via RCP or API requires:
- Two or more nameservers or a nameserver group
- The "State/Province" field value must be a 100% match.
- .mx registry explicitly checks "State/Province" field value. If value doesn't 100% match the registry's list, the registration will be interrupted. Refer to this Wikipedia article to look up the appropriate state/province name and copy/paste it to prevent errors during the domain registration. Use the Official Name column.
- The street address may only contain up to 50 characters.
NIC.MX performs name server checks. When updating name servers, please make sure that they are correctly configured to serve the corresponding zone. If they are not, an update will be denied by NIC.MX
Successful domain transfer via RCP or API requires:
- authorisation code
- two or more nameservers or a nameserver group
- "State/Province" field value must be a 100% match

Delete

- A domain name deleted manually enters in a Pending Delete period for a period of 30 (treinta) days. When the period of Pending Delete ends, the Domain Name is available for it to be registered by a third party.

- restore comes with a subsequent renew and billed accordingly

After a successful restore, we advise you to do a domain sync to make sure that the domain will resolve again.
