.gm – Openprovider

This article describes the procedures and requirements of .gm domain names.

Registration

You can register a .gm domain through our API or control panel. This registration is not real time and requires the following information:

the domain's contact handles (owner, administrative, etc.)
two or more nameservers or a nameserver group

The registry requires a written statement from the domain owner regarding the intentions behind registering this domain name, as in:

how is the requested domain name connected to the domain owner, e.g. which service will be provided?
how will the local internet community of Gambia profit from this domain?

Once we have the necessary statement then we ask Gambian registry to register the domain name.

Transfer

You can start the .gm domain transfer through our API or control panel. This transfer requires the following information:

the domain's contact handles (owner, administrative, etc.)
two or more nameservers or a nameserver group.
Transfer may take about 5 days due to manual processing .

Quarantine period: 0 days During this period, an expired or deleted domain name can be reactivated at an additional fee.
