This article describes the procedures and requirements of .mk domain names.

Successful domain registration via RCP or XML API or REST API requires:

  • Two or more nameservers or a nameserver group.
  • For Second Level Domains (.com.mk|.net.mk|.org.mk |.edu.mk|.мкд), signing of a Power of Attorney by the registrant is required prior to completing the registration, where the registrant's contact details will be visible in Whois directly at the registration.

Notes:

  • Registration is a manual process and takes up to 14 days.
  • All new .mk registrations will use default Whois Trustee.
  • If you need to make registrant contact details visible in Whois for .mk domains, it is now possible by making a trade request.
  • If the reseller data needs to be visible in WHOIS, then you have to provide a POA (Power Of Attorney) prior or after the registration. If it is after the registration, it will be considered as trade.
  • All local and international individuals and legal entities have the right to register .mk and.мкд domains.

Owner change (trade)

  • Trade is a manual operation
    • Please send and email to support@openprovider.com containing the new registrant handle.
  • A POA (Power Of Attorney) is required
    • Power of Attorney:  http://poa.agent.mk
    • It is possible to download new fillable POA in pdf format. 
    • The domain holder needs to fill in the name, address, and domain name and sign it. 
    • The registry can assist in pre-filling the POA.
  •  ID proof:  http://idproof.agent.mk
    • Information on what is considered to be sufficient ID proof, depending if the registrant is a company or an individual.

Other update

  • requested via RCP or API or via support
  • not real time. This process can take up to 24 hours to complete, until then the domain will still point to the previous DNS servers.

 

If it is urgent, please send an email to support@openprovider.com and provide the domain name and new nameservers.

  • Send an email to support@openprovider.com and provide the domain name you want to restore.

  • The first and last character can not be a "-" sign (dash)

  • Renewal date offset: 14 days
    The number of days before the registry's expiration date, that Openprovider requires the domain to be renewed or expired. More info.
    Note that the dates as shown in your Openprovider account are always leading, even if they do not match the renewal date offset mentioned here.
  • Soft quarantine period: n/a days
    During this period, following after an expiration, the domain can be restored for free. This period does not apply if the domain is deleted explicitly. More info.
  • Quarantine period: 0 days
    During this period, an expired or deleted domain name can be reactivated at an additional fee.
