This article describes the procedures and requirements of .me domain names.

You can register a .me domain through our API or control panel. This registration is real time and requires the following information:
  • the domain's contact handles (owner, administrative, etc.)
  • two or more nameservers or a nameserver group
A transfer has to be registered with an authorization code. The current registrar then has five days to object or approve the transfer. If no approval is given within five days, the transfer will complete automatically.

Owner change (trade)

A change of ownership can be done by replacing the owner contact in the control panel. After saving the changes the change is processed realtime.

Other update

A change of contactdetails can be done by updating the associated handles in the control panel. After saving the changes the domainname will be updated realtime.

Delete

A delete is realtime. After a delete the domain will be in quarantine status for 30 days.

Restore / reactivate

A domain name can be restored for 30 days after the domain name has been deleted or expired.

Once the restore request is successfully processed, the domain will be returned to its original state within 24 hours.
