Registration is realtime.

Note that the registry will always include the registrar's contractual details as technical contact. That means that the whois will always show Openprovider's data. Unfortunately we cannot whitelabel this.

A transfer can be started in the Openprovider control panel. An authorization code is required. The current registrar can explicitly approve or reject the transfer. If no decision is made, the transfer will be auto-approved after five days.

The registry will not send an e-mail to the domain contacts after the transfer finishes.

A domain name may not be transferred in the same month as its registration or the month afterwards. A domain name may not be transferred within the first month after its renewal.

The transfer code is valid for 30 days only.

Trade (owner change)

A change of ownership can be done by replacing the owner contact in the control panel. After saving the changes the change is processed realtime.

The registry will send an e-mail to the domain contacts after the transfer finishes.

A change of contactdetails can be done by updating the associated handles in the control panel. After saving the changes the domainname will be updated realtime.

After sending a delete request, the registry will send the domain owner an e-mail, asking him if he wants to take over the management of the domain. If he does not do that within 3 working days, the registry will remove the domain from the zone file. After 30 more days, the domain becomes available again.

If a recently registered domain name is deleted before it has been billed to the registrar (normally within the first 60 days), the registry will not delete the domain immediately but mark it 'auto-expire' after the first year of registration.

Restore (reactivation)

If the registrant has chosen to take over the management of the domain name, he can choose to transfer the domain to Openprovider again; this is the way to restore a domain in Openprovider.

If the domain was not taken over and is still in its 30 days "locked" period (a sort of redemption period), we can manually restore the domain. Please contact us and include the domain name and approval on the €25 reactivation fee in your request.
