Please send an email to support if you would like to register a .bt

Include the following:
- Domain details: Domain name, all handles, and nameservers.
- Registration form (provided by us after you send the email)
- Business certificate (in English)
- Writing from the owner, that we are authorized to register the domain for them
- Indicate the VAT number in the owner handle
For the transfer of a .bt domain name, we need a written confirmation where the owner of the domain declares his wish to transfer the domain.

Also the old registrar must declare his acknowledge of the transfer in this document.

The document must be signed by both the registrant and the old registrar and must be sent by e-mail. We will forward it then to NIC.BT and they will transfer the domain.

Additional notes on a .bt transfer

Authorization code required no
Method of confirmation forms
Registration period after transfer extends

Advanced and simple transfers available Contact our Sales department to check if easy transfer of 100 or more .bt domains is available.
It is not possible to change the registrant of a .bt domain, unless it is a change of company name or a takeover of the registered company. If it is such a change, we need a copy of an English HR extract of the change of name or takeover agreement of the old owner company.

If you encounter some issue, please report it through the "HotJar" feedback collector on the bottom right, or (if it is blocked by your browser) by clicking the "Submit a request" link below. No rights can be derived from the information in this knowledge base. If there is discrepancy between the knowledge base and the process in Openprovider, the process in Openprovider is leading.
