This article describes the procedures and requirements of .ba domain names.
Click on the subject below to open the dropdown for more information.

You can register a .ba domain through our API or control panel. This registration is not real time and requires the following information:
  • the domain's contact handles (owner, administrative, etc.)
  • two or more nameservers or a nameserver group

After requesting the registration from the Openprovider control panel we will send you a registration form.

The form must be printed twice on company letterhead, filled out, signed and stamped by the current registrant and sent to the supplier by postal mail. (note that both original forms of the document have to be sent, not a copy)

We will supply you with the postal address together with the document after your order.
You can start a .ba domain transfer through our API or control panel.
This transfer requires the following information:
  • the domain's contact handles (owner, administrative, etc.)
  • two or more nameservers or a nameserver group

After requesting the transfer from the Openprovider control panel we will send you a confirmation form, which needs to be filled out. Further instructions will be added in this email.

Owner change (trade)

To change the owner of a .ba domainname you will first need to initiate a trade through the Openprovider control panel. Once this is done, you will be supplied with an ownerchange form. Once this is filled in and forwarded to the registry, it will take a few days for the change to be processed.
Also note that after a trade the domain will be renewed for a year, the remaining period is then lost.

Other update

The details of a contactperson can be changed through the control panel. No further forms are required for this action.

Delete

A domain can only be deleted at least a month before the renewal period. The deletion can be done by simply requesting this through the control panel.

Due to the regular changes in registry rules and configuration or missing information from registry side, and despite our effort to keep our knowledge base up-to-date, information in the knowledge base may be outdated or incorrect. If you encounter some issue, please report it through the "HotJar" feedback collector on the bottom right, or (if it is blocked by your browser) by clicking the "Submit a request" link below. No rights can be derived from the information in this knowledge base. If there is discrepancy between the knowledge base and the process in Openprovider, the process in Openprovider is leading.
