This article describes the procedures and requirements of .ws domain names.

Registration

You can register a .ws domain through our API or control panel. This registration is real time and requires the following information:

the domain's contact handles (owner, administrative, etc.)
two or more nameservers or a nameserver group

Transfer

A transfer has to be requested with an authcode.
It takes up to 5 days before it is successfully transfered. During this period the current registrar can object against the transfer.

Update

Owner change (trade)

An owner change can be performed by updating the owner handle of the domain. This change is processed realtime.

Other update

An contact update can be performed by updating the handle of the domain. This change is processed realtime.

Deletion / Restore

Delete

A domain can be set to not renew at the end of the current period. It will be available after a 5 day period
during wich it can not be restored.

Restore / reactivate

It is not possible to reactivate deleted domains there is no quarantine period.
