This article describes the procedures and requirements of .ua domain names.

To register a .ua domainname the following information has to be supplied.
- Trademark number
- Trademark creation date
- You also have to provide a trademark certificate issued according to Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks acting in Ukraine (abbreviation "UA" must be in the field 831 DESIGNATIONS). The Certificate of Ukraine for the trademark or service mark issued by the central executive authority dealing with issues of legal protection of intellectual property.

A .ua registration can take up to 24 hours to complete.
A transfer is initiated with an authorization code. The transfer will be auto-approved after 5 days, unless the current registrar explicitly approves or rejects the outgoing transfer. In case of explicit approval, the transfer is finished immediately.

A domain can be set to not renew at the end of the current period.

It is not possible to reactivate deleted domains there is no quarantine period.

  • Domains directly under the top level domain .ua may only be registered by holders of a trademark that is valid in Ukraine. The domain name should be an exact match of the trademark name.
