This article describes the procedures and requirements of .sr domain names.
Click on the subject below to open the dropdown for more information.

Successful domain registration via RCP or API requires:

  • two or more nameservers or a nameserver group

The actual registration will be done manually by our Support team, so it may take 1-2 working days to be activated.

  • The current registrar has to request this change at the registry asking the registry to move the domain into the account registry-liaison@openprovider.nl.
  • Please inform Openprovider to support@openprovider.com as soon as the domains are moved; we will then add them to your account.

Additional notes on a .sr transfer

If the current registrar cannot, or does not want to, cooperate, please send us a letter on the registrant's letterhead, in which the registrant confirms that he wants to transfer his domain to the registry-liaison@openprovider.nl customer of the registry.
The registry will check this with the current registrar first, and then proceed with the transfer.

If you encounter some issue, please report it through the "HotJar" feedback collector on the bottom right, or (if it is blocked by your browser) by clicking the "Submit a request" link below. No rights can be derived from the information in this knowledge base. If there is discrepancy between the knowledge base and the process in Openprovider, the process in Openprovider is leading.
