Other update

Successful domain update via RCP or XML API or REST API requires:

  • A contact (except for registrant) or nameserver update can be performed by updating the handle of the domain.
  • This change is processed realtime.

Delete

  • In order to delete a .RO domain, you can disable the auto-renewal.
  • The domain will expire on the expiration date. (recommended) If you want the domain deleted directly, a deletion document needs to be filled in.
  • This document needs to be faxed to the registry and the original document needs to be sent by postal mail to: ICI - ROTLD Registry Bd. Averescu 8-10 Sector 1 Bucharest 011455 Romania
  • Please contact support for the required document. So, no additional paperwork is required if you let the domain expire on the expiration date, while the deletion can be performed at any point of time during the registration period, but paperwork is required.

Restore / reactivate

  • This is a manual procedure and you can request the restoration of a .ro domain by sending an email to support@openprovider.com.

Due to the regular changes in registry rules and configuration or missing information from registry side, and despite our effort to keep our knowledge base up-to-date, information in the knowledge base may be outdated or incorrect. If you encounter some issue, please report it through the "HotJar" feedback collector on the bottom right, or (if it is blocked by your browser) by clicking the "Submit a request" link below. No rights can be derived from the information in this knowledge base. If there is discrepancy between the knowledge base and the process in Openprovider, the process in Openprovider is leading.
