This article describes the procedures and requirements of .ci domain names.

Successful domain registration via RCP or XML API or REST API requires:

  • two or more nameservers or a nameserver group

 

The registration of .ci is not real-time and might take several days.

Registrant contact must be a real person, generic names and titles are not permitted. 

Admin contact must be the same as the owner contact.

Successful domain transfer via RCP or XML API or REST API requires:

  • authorization code
  • two or more nameservers or a nameserver group

The transfer might take several days to complete.

NB: The transfer does not include a one-year renewal, you will need to renew the domain separately.

Owner change (trade)

Delete

As .ci domains cannot be deleted explicitly. To delete a .ci domain you have to set the auto-renewal mode off.
