How do I request .pt trade (owner change) at the registry?

Answer

To process a trade, gather the documents and data as described below and send them to DNS.pt.

  • Statement emitted by the current registrant authorizing the ownership transfer to the new one, see example below.
  • The statement should include the NIC-handle and VAT number of the current and the new registrant entities, to ensure the correct identification of entities.
  • The NIC -handle can be requested through our Support Department
  • Information from the new registrant indicating acceptance of the arbitration agreement, see example below.

 

Once the forms have been completed and signed, please send them to DNS.pt and add our support department in cc for further processing.

 

Example statement of current registrant:

Note: The below statement should be issued on letterhead of the entity
(the current owner), as well as signed and stamped by the legal
representative.

I ......................, with the taxpayer number ...............

I hereby give the ownership / authorize the transfer of the domain

Example statement of new registrant:

Following the declaration of transfer of the domain .....................
sent to FCCN by the current owner, we inform that, as the future owner of
the domain ..................... we accept the subscription to the
arbitration agreement on the resolution of conflicts over domain names,
as described in Article 41 Arbitration, of the Regulation for .PT domain
registration.
