Symptoms
Update attempt of an .it domain fails with the error:
Domain update failed: 2308, Data management policy violation;
Update domain combination of status, name server and registrant is not allowed
Cause
Domain owner handle change is combined with nameserver or DNSSEC update. This may happen if during domain transfer DNSSEC key wasn't updated in the registry.
Resolution
- Turn DNSSEC off, save the domain
- Update owner contact, save the domain
- Turn DNSSEC on, save the domain
