To register a .au domainname a local presence is required. The owner, administrative and technical contact must match the Australian Presence Requirements.




A transfer can be started using an authcode which can be retrieved from the current registrar.
Once the transfer has been started the domain owner will get an approval mail which need to be approved within 30 days.

A change of ownership is not supported.







To cancel a .au you will have to disable the autorenew. It is not possible to explicitly delete a .au domainname during the current active period.


Restore (reactivation)


A domain can be restored using a restore domain command at the supplier. The domain can be renewed for 30 days after expiring.
