Registering a new domain name

If you want to register a new domain name you can do so by navigating to 'Domain registration' which can be found under the section 'Domain management'. On the new page you can enter the domain name that you desire.

If the domain name is still available you can register it by clicking 'Continue to step 2: Configure domain' on the bottom-left.

When configuring the domain name for registration you can use the customer handles that you created in step 4. Fill in the owner, administrative contact and technical contact for the domain name and select which nameservers you want to use. Once you have filled in all the necessary fields you can order the domain name by clicking 'To step 3: Finish order'. Now you can review your order and if all is in order you can tell our systems to register the domain name for you.

If you already have a domain name at a different registrar and wish to transfer this to Openprovider you can also choose to transfer the domain name. To transfer a domain name you can navigate to 'Transfer' and follow the same steps as above. Please note that the procedure to transfer a domain name is different per tld, you can check our documentation on how to transfer your specific domain name in our tld documentation.
